Our Story

The Perdana Fellows Alumni Association (PFAA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to foster a strong network ecosystem that is multicultural, multiracial, non-political and inclusive.

The Perdana Fellowship is a prestigious programme established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2013 to provide young Malaysians first-hand experience at the highest level of national governance.

Named Perdana, the Fellowship strives to impart the leadership values of the Prime Minister the head of the government to exceptional young Malaysians as they assist their respective Mentor Ministers to serve the national agenda and the government's transformation programmes.

The Perdana Fellows serve for three to six months and their work includes policy research and analysis, drafting parliamentary replies and coordinating strategic communication for their Mentor Ministers, among others.

After completing their fellowship, the Fellows become part of the Perdana Fellows Alumni Association (PFAA).

Through various initiatives, PFAA enables the alumni to continue building and renewing ties with government agencies, corporates and NGOs which allows them to actively take part in nation-building and grow as the leaders of tomorrow.

PFAA hosts two annual flagship events, the Climate Finance Summit (CFS) and the Youth Economic Forum (YEF), to facilitate meaningful conversations, affirmative actions and tangible solutions to tackle challenges emerging from the climate crisis and the evolving economic landscape.

PFAA also regularly hosts the Speaker Series for prominent industry leaders to share their success stories and leadership lessons with young professionals in a casual setting. Through the Scholar Series, PFAA also features renowned scholarship and learning opportunities from top universities for young Malaysians looking to pursue tertiary education.

The alumni also engages in community outreach programmes with underserved groups through the PFAA Gives Back Series. Meanwhile, PFAA's latest Public Policy Roundtable provides public policy training to young Malaysians for them to chart their vision for the Malaysia of tomorrow.
